Owners
Jake & Patti Bostwick are lifetime residents of
the Puyallup area. They have 6 wonderful
children and devote their success in life to
their faith and love of God. The bakery allows
us to be a shining light in the community.

Staff
Pioneer Bakery is family owned and operated. Of the 6 employees, 4 of them are the
Bostwick's children. We really want the bakery to be a family experience and want a down
home atmosphere with the friendliness that you don't find in the commercialized shops.

About the Bakery
We purchased this bakery because we wanted to continue the bakery's legacy and being natives to this
area, it was a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community that gave to us as children. It's been
in operation since 1926, a part of Puyallup's history. We've changed the central theme to a western /
pioneer theme modeled after Ezra Meeker's love for Puyallup. Complete with a stage coach, saddles,
antiques and center stage surrounded by wine colored velvet curtains.

Igniting the Future is an opportunity for our ninth graders to have mock interviews with business
members of our community. The donuts were greatly appreciated by the 50 interviewers and several
